Robert Barbieri, ’20, is the author of children’s book “Dominic the Dog.”

Dominic is on a search to find his talent. This story conveys the message that everyone has different talents that are discovered through natural growth. The reader finds out that you may not know your talent until it catches you by surprise.

Dogs and sports were a big part of Barbieri’s life growing up in Ontario, Canada. His love of sports brought him to study in the United States, first in high school then at St. Bonaventure. Through sports, Barbieri learned that with time, effort and practice, all things are possible. It is with this in mind that he wanted to reach out to children to help them understand that they are all special and they should always reach for their dreams.
