Dear members of the Class of 2020,
A hearty welcome to you as you enter the ranks of SBU alumni.
This message comes with mixed emotions. The student-to-alumni transition should have happened at multiple celebrations — such as Spring Weekend, senior send-off, Senior Week and graduation — with you surrounded by your classmates, teachers, family and friends.
But while the pandemic keeps us physically distant, our Bona connection holds us together, now and always.
As you move forward in life, may you forever remember the friends, friars and faculty members who journeyed with you to this special day.
You can take pride knowing you now join 30,000 Bona alumni worldwide. Like you, they make up the fabric of our Bona Franciscan tradition.
Whether you move back home to take a job or cast your net farther, alumni are there to help you transition into the local community.
