I graduated almost 50 years ago so here are the highlights I remember from my senior year. Finished my thesis & 6 weeks of student teaching. Then I got to enjoy working at my dad’s bar, Club 17 (you know it as The Other Place) until graduation. I lived off campus so I got to enjoy the best of both worlds with best friends on and of campus.
My boyfriend and future husband, John Swol, Class of 1969, returned from Vietnam in time for my graduation. My brother didn’t get drafted because of the lottery.
We had over 550 in my class. I think it was one of the biggest graduating classes. Bob Hope was our commencement speaker.
I left for Europe for the summer right after graduation. It will be 50 years before I get to go back again.
I think one of the many good things to come out this virus is that we all get the time to look at our life and see what we want to do in the future!
My thoughts & prayers are with you.
